The tightening of human trafficking paragraphs is ineffective
Due to the liberal prostitution legislation, Germany has become a target country for human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. In particular, women from poor regions in south-eastern Europe are trafficked into prostitution in Germany. Sexual exploitation takes place in legal brothels, in registered and unregistered apartments and on the streets of German cities. Particularly richer EU countries with liberal prostitution legislation benefit from the plight of these women, for example through tax revenues. "This contradicts the values that the EU has given itself as a community and that it represents to the outside world," says Marie Kaltenbach from the Nordic Model Alliance. "These women are sexually exploited in this country and Germany does not accept any responsibility for the physical and mental damage suffered by those affected."

Letter of Support for Opinion from Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW) and Coalition for the Abolition of Prostitution (CAP International)
The Nordic Model Alliance stands for a rethinking of German prostitution policy because it considers the goals of the Prostitution Act of 2002 to have failed and the Prostitute Protection Act of 2017 to have failed. Therefore, Bündnis Nordic Modell joins the statement of Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW) and Coalition for the Abolition of Prostitution (CAP Inter-national) of March 31, 2022.
