The Alliance Nordic Modelis active nationwide and includes over 45 associations, networks and initiatives as well as numerous individuals from civil society. Our goal is the introduction and implementation of the Nordic model in Germany.
The Alliance Nordic Model declares the German policy of regulating the prostitution market to have failed because it does not offer the women concerned effective protection against violence. Prostitution primarily affects women. *However, the measures to be taken must also protect and support other prostitutes.
In Germany, prostitution is a lucrative source of income for organized crime and other areas of the informal economy, especially human trafficking. Prostitution fuels everyday physical, psychological, and fatal violence against women. Through its legislation, the state creates optimal conditions for sexual exploitation.
Together that will work out Alliance Nordic Model for a progressive prostitution policy in the sense of universal human rights in Germany and demands:
1. Decriminalization of prostituted women*
3. Exit assistance (nationwide and nationwide), protection and support
4. Education and public relations work through anti-sexist education and prevention with the aim of rethinking society.
Religious and party-political interests play no role in the alliance. The alliance sees its diversity as a strength with which it wants to achieve a fundamental change in social awareness and political action. The Alliance Nordic Model is fully in solidarity with the prostituted people, what it rejects is the prostitution system.
